Genuine number 8 mine turquoise pendant set in sterling silver hangs from leather cord with a textured sterling silver slide, sterling hook clasp and chain extender with a sterling leaf charm.

The Number Eight turquoise mine is in Eureka County north of Carlin, Nevada. It was discovered in 1925 and first mined in 1929. The mine is closed to turquoise mining- it was depleted of turquoise in 1961. Today it is mined today for gold. With limited reserves of this stone in existence, Number 8 turquoise jewelry is one of the most valuable and appreciated stones by collectors.

This necklace is approximately 17 inches long and with the extender it is adjustable up to 19 inches.
